Spider-Man: Homecoming is a 2017 American superhero film based on theMarvel Comics character Spider-Man, co-produced by Columbia Pictures andMarvel Studios, and distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing. It is the secondSpider-Man film reboot and the sixteenth film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe(MCU). The film is directed by Jon Watts, with a screenplay by the writing teams ofJonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, Watts and Christopher Ford, andChris McKenna and Erik Sommers. Tom Holland stars as Spider-Man, alongsideMichael Keaton, Jon Favreau, Zendaya,Donald Glover, Tyne Daly, Marisa Tomeiand Robert Downey Jr. In Spider-Man: Homecoming, Peter Parker tries to balance high school life with being Spider-Man, while facing the Vulture.

In February 2015, Marvel Studios and Sony reached a deal to share the character rights of Spider-Man, integrating the character into the established MCU. The following June, Holland was cast as the title character, while Watts was hired to direct, followed shortly by the casting of Tomei and the hiring of Daley and Goldstein. In April 2016, the film's title was revealed, along with additional cast, including Downey. Principal photography began in June 2016 at Pinewood Atlanta Studios in Fayette County, Georgia, and continued in Atlanta, Los Angeles, and New York City. The additional screenwriters were revealed during filming, which concluded in Berlin in October 2017. The production team made efforts to differentiate the film from previous Spider-Man incarnations.

Spider-Man: Homecoming premiered inHollywood on June 28, 2017, and was released in the United States on July 7, 2017, in 3D, IMAX and IMAX 3D.Homecoming has grossed over $496 million worldwide, making it the tenth highest grossing film of 2017. It received positive reviews, with critics praising Holland and the other cast's performances, the light tone and the action sequences. A sequel is scheduled to be released on July 5, 2019.

TRANSFORMERS:THE LAST KNIGHT

Transformers: The Last Knight is a 2017 American science fiction action film based on the Transformers toy line created by Hasbro. It is the fifth installment of the live-action Transformers film series and a sequel to 2014's Transformers: Age of Extinction. Directed byMichael Bay, the film features Mark Wahlberg returning from Age of Extinction, with Josh Duhamel, John Turturro and Glenn Morshowerall reprising their roles from the first three films, with Laura Haddock and Anthony Hopkins joining the cast. Bay and Wahlberg have stated they will not return for another sequel.[10]

The film premiered at Odeon Leicester Square in London on June 18, 2017, and was theatrically released in the United States on June 21, 2017 by Paramount Pictures, in 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D. Like its predecessors it received negative reception from critics and, with an approval rating of 15% on Rotten Tomatoes, is the worst-reviewed film of the series. The film has grossed over $520 million worldwide against a budget of $217 million, making it the ninth highest-grossing film of 2017.

A spin-off, entitled Transformers Universe: Bumblebee, is scheduled for release on June 8, 2018. A sixth film, thus far untitled, is set to be released on June 28, 2019.[11]

THE FATE OF FURIOUS (F8)

The Fate of the Furious (alternatively known as Fast & Furious 8 and Fast 8, and often stylized as F8) is a 2017 American action filmdirected by F. Gary Gray and written by Chris Morgan. It is the eighth installment in The Fast and the Furious franchise. The film stars Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Scott Eastwood, Nathalie Emmanuel, Elsa Pataky, Kurt Russell and Charlize Theron. The Fate of the Furious follows Dominic Toretto (Diesel), who has settled down with his wife Letty (Rodriguez), until cyberterrorist Cipher (Theron) coerces him into working for her and turns him against his team, forcing them to find Dom and take down Cipher.

The Fate of the Furious marks the first installment in the franchise since The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006) not to star both Paul Walker, who died in a single-vehicle crash on November 30, 2013 while filming Furious 7 (2015),[2] and Jordana Brewster;[3] following script rewrites to the seventh installment after Walker's death which completed the story arcs for both of their characters (Brian O'Connerand Mia Toretto, respectively), both characters were retired.

Plans for an eighth installment were first announced in March 2015 when Diesel appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and announced that the film would be set in New York City. Preparations for the film began immediately after the release of Furious 7, with Diesel, Morgan and producer Neal H. Moritz re-signing. After setting an initial release date in the same month, casting took place between April and June 2015. In October 2015, Gray was announced to direct the film in the place of James Wan, who had directed the previous installment.Principal photography began in March 2016 in locations such as Mývatn, Havana, Atlanta, Cleveland and New York City, continuing the franchise's tradition of filming in exotic locations around the world.[4]

The Fate of the Furious premiered on April 4, 2017 in Berlin, and was theatrically released in the United States on April 14, 2017, playing in 3D, IMAX 3D and 4DX internationally. The film received mixed reviews from critics, who praised the action sequences and performances, while criticizing the storyline.[5][6] The film has grossed over $1.2 billion worldwide, making it the thirtieth film (and the second in the franchise, after Furious 7) to gross over $1 billion, the second highest-grossing film of 2017 and the eleventh highest-grossing film of all time.[1] The film grossed $532 million worldwide during its opening weekend, setting the record for the highest-grossing opening of all time, ahead of Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($529 million).[7] A sequel is scheduled to be released on April 19, 2019.[8]

The rest of the cast was confirmed the next May, with Pearson revealed to be involved with the film at the start of filming in July 2016.
